Honda Introduces Motorcycle with Airbag

Introducing the newest technology in motorcycle safety, the air bag. Honda Motor Co. announced that it will be the first to place an air bag on their 1800cc Gold Wing motorcycle.

Honda officials are stressing that the air bag will not help in all situations, but will be designed to protect riders in full-frontal crashes. The air bag will be positioned under the handle bars and sensors will be placed near the front tire to detect a collision.

Honda has to overcome many obsatcles in the development but believes the air bag will help to reduce the severity of injuries. The airbag will be available in the U.S. market next spring for about $19,990.
